Centrally located and a minutes walk from The Grange is Hagley Park, which covers 161 hectares and includes the renowned Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The gardens are home to an impressive array of native and exotic flora and fauna, and have an ever-changing seasonal display. Well worth a visit any time of year.
The Christchurch Casino is a short walk from The Grange. It is open 7 days a week for gaming, has a choice of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars and features regular live entertainment and special events.
Canterbury Museum is a just a minute walk from The Grange, on the edge of Hagley Park. Its displays document New Zealand and Canterbury’s history, along with a world-renowned natural history display, Antarctic Gallery and more, all housed in an historic stone building. The museum also features many touring exhibitions.

The Christchurch Art Gallery is very close to The Grange. It is home to an extensive collection of local, national and international art. It features changing displays, including touring national and international exhibitions. Open 7 days, 10am-5pm, 10am-9pm Wednesday.
The Christchurch Tram goes right past The Grange, perfect for a leisurely trip round the town centre. The friendly and knowledgeable drivers provide a commentary on sites of interest, and a day-long ticket allows you to get on and off as often as you please.
